Positioned in the Lake District, this beautiful cottage is perfect for the family and lies in the grounds of Irton Hall Estate. It has two bedrooms and can sleep up to four people.

Based in the Irton Hall Estate, this cottage is only 1 mile from the village of Santon Bridge. It is a cosy property that has been furnished to an immaculate standard and provides solid oak flooring right through the ground floor. The living area is open plan and there is also a well-equipped kitchen with a dining area and a living room.

The cottage has one king size double bedroom and one twin bedroom. It also possesses a bathroom. The property gives guests the opportunity to enjoy some of the 19 acres of parkland that surrounds the cottage and forms part of the Irton Hall Estate.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

This property has electric storage heaters throughout with extra heating in the living area provided by a bio-fuel wood pellet-burning stove. An electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine are also included. There is a flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD player and a CD player in the living area. Fuel, power, bed linen, towels and wood pellets for the stove are supplied. A cot and high chair are available upon request.

Off road paring is available for two cars. There is a small patio area plus shared use of 19 acres of park land belonging to the Irton Hall Estate. Unfortunately, no smoking or pets are allowed. The closest pub and shop are just 1 mile away. There is a bar at Irton Hall that is just a 1 minute walk away.

Local Town Description

Irton Hall is set at the foothills of the Western Fells and lies in amongst some divine Lakeland countryside. It is only a couple of miles from Eskdale Green and Santon Bridge. The area is known to have been regularly visited by King Henry VI and Oliver Cromwell.

Local attractions include the World Owl Centre, Muncaster Castle and the Eskdale to Ravenglass miniature railway. The deepest lake in the country is also close by called Wast Water. The smallest church in England, St Olaf's, is also near by.

Lovely cottage that was well maintained and in a nice, quiet location. Wine and chocolates awaiting our arrival was welcomed. Lovely little tearoom just short walk from cottage was a popular daily haunt for us as the food and cakes were very nice indeed. Very relaxing holiday was had by all!
