Riverside View Pet-Friendly Cottage

Sitting on the outskirts of the village of Cark in Cartmel on the edge of the Lake District National Park, is this spacious semi-detached house, which overlooks a passing river.

Riverside View Cottage can accommodate up to seven people in its two twin bedrooms and one double bedroom, which has en-suite facilities. There is also a folding bed available and a well-presented family bathroom. This property also has a fitted kitchen, a sitting room with a dining table and electric fire and there is a ground floor snug.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

This property has full gas central heating throughout with extra heating being provided from the electric fire in the living room. In the kitchen, there is an electric double oven, double gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Riverside View Cottage also boasts one plasma screen TV, one LCD TV, a DVD player, books and games. All of the fuel and power is included in the rent and guests are provided with bed linen and towels. A cot and highchair are available on request.

To the outside there is off road parking for one vehicle and additional roadside parking if required. The property has a lockable outbuilding for bike storage, and an enclosed patio area with outdoor furniture and BBQ. This is a no smoking property. Guests can bring two well-behaved pets. There are shops and pubs within a short walk of the property.

During Cartmel Race weeks, the rent will be charged at peak rate.

Local Town Description

The small rural village of Cark in Cartmel is just a couple of miles from the town of Cartmel and enjoys a beautiful Lakeland countryside setting. The village is a stop on the Furness railway where guests can catch a train to many nearby towns and villages. There is a local beach to enjoy or visit Holker Hall House and Deer Park, which is just a short walk from the village. The town of Cartmel is famous for its racecourse, has a good choice of traditional pubs, shops, and is home to a Michelin starred restaurant. This area is a superb base for exploring the delights and magnificent scenery of the nearby Lake District National Park and the coast.
