The Cow Shed Romantic Cottage

Built of an appealing local stone topped with a slate roof, the name of this cottage will give you a strong clue as to its use before it was converted into a delightful holiday home. Set in the grounds in the owner's home at Glossop, known locally as the Gateway to the Peaks.

Ground floor accommodation offered with one double bedroom having an en suite bathroom with WC, basin, bath and shower. The daytime arrangement is of an open plan design with the living area having a wood burner and hand made stained glass window. There is also a dining area and a well appointed kitchen.

Two car off road parking, as well as an outside area.

Inclusive of towels, bed linen, gas, power and wood burner starter pack. Full gas heating, fridge, microwave, and electric cooker. TV/DVD, games, books and DVDs. Regret no smoking and no pets. Five minutes walk to the pub, one mile to shops.

Local Town Description

Many Peak District experts suggest that the western area around Glossop contains some of the very best scenery in the area. The town itself has a range of restaurants, pubs and shops, and is well placed for exploring the area, with popular Buxton being only fourteen miles away. You are also close to the lovely village of Hayfield, popular with walkers being close to Kinder Scout. You are also not far from Manchester.
