Set at Linwood in the heart of the New Forest National Park, Endymion is a delightful single storey detached timber lodge located in the grounds of the owner's property. Suitable as a romantic retreat for a couple, or a splendid holiday base for a small family. There is one double bedroom with en suite WC, basin and shower, as well as an open plan daytime accommodation offering compact kitchen area, dining space and sitting area with wood burner and single sofa bed. Barbecue and patio to rear garden, stabling, paddock and menage available by prior request if you want to bring your own horse. Amenities/Accommodation Overview Inclusive of bed linen, towels, power, fuel and wood burner logs, heating by way of electric heaters in the bathroom and bedroom, wood burner in sitting room. Fridge, combi oven/microwave, two ring electric hob, DVD, TV with freeview. One car off road parking, two well behaved dogs allowed, regret no smoking, four miles to shop, eight minutes walk to pub. Seasonal camp site shop one mile away. Note: Owner has dogs. Note: Cottage accessed via unmade gravelled forest track. Local Town Description Located on the western side of the New Forest National Park, Linwood is not far from Ringwood. Comprising one hundred and fifty square miles of heathland, wood land and pretty villages, the Park is the smallest of the country's National Parks. Famous for its herds of deer, cattle and ponies, the forest is also home to a wide range of wildlife plus great walking and horse riding. There is pony trekking and bike hire at nearby Burley, while the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu and the wonderful gardens at Exbury should be firmly implanted in your day tripping diary.
