Cottage Description
The cottage is comfortably furnished with a sunny conservatory where you can unwind and watch the sunsets. To gain full advantage of the exterior, you will be able to use the front and rear gardens which are a delight, with garden furniture and a barbecue provided. Those keen on walking will want to make use of the shoreline walks which can be enjoyed from the cottage and in particular the 190 mile Solway Heritage Trail which winds through the stunning scenery of the Solway coast from Gretna to the Mull of Galloway. The area is largely unspoilt and as well as the beaches, any number of outdoor pursuits are available, from bird watching and golf, through to cycling and fishing. Local places of interest include St. Ninian's Cave and the Whithorn story (where Scottish christianity began). There are two fine pub/ restaurants in isle of whithorn and seafood is available at the harbour. The bright, well presented accommodation includes one double and one twin bedroom, each with en-suite bathroom, lounge with open fire, conservatory with dining table, kitchen with dining area, extra separate toilet. All electric plus open fire. Fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, television, cd player. Bed linen and towels are provided.
