This listed building is accessed by an amazing 4 mile drive along the pebbled shoreline of Loch Ryan. It is set in the tranquil hamlet of Kirkcolm and is an idyllic terraced cottage which enables you to escape the stress and strife of urban life. Built in 1846, the cottage has been stylishly redecorated and the rooms are well-designed as well as being finished to a very immaculate standard. There is an elevated sun deck to the rear, accessed by steps and a little patio area off the kitchen with patio furniture and barbecue to enjoy on the warm days and nights.

The property may be appropriate for some guests with restricted mobility. Local activities include cycling, sailing, fishing, pony trekking, golf and hill walking - the Southern Upland Way starts near by. The village has a general store and local pub to cater for your essential needs. The town of Stranraer has an array of pubs, shops, restaurants, swimming pool and a cinema. It also allows guests the chance to enjoy day trips to Ireland. The ferry crossing takes 1 and ? hours, so not long at all. The property consists of a ground floor one double bedroom, friendly living room with open fire, recently fitted, well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a bath, a shower cubicle and a period fireplace. Upstairs are two very large twin bedrooms in the attic. A camp bed is also available if necessary. Cooking is carried out by electricity, there is oil-fired central heating plus an open fire. You will also have use of the fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, television, DVD player and CD player. Bed linen and towels are also provided.
