Cottage Description

In an idyllic peaceful location, with wonderful unspoilt views over the countryside, this pretty cottage enjoys a degree of remoteness, some three miles from the main road but is still within easy reach of nearby Thornhill, Closeburn, and slightly further afield to Dumfries. A sporting break or an opportunity to enjoy a restful time in front of the fire, the choice is yours.

For touring, try to visit Drumlanrig Castle which is a short drive away, and houses a renowned art collection, as well as works by Rembrandt and Leonardo. It also offers an excellent family day out with an adventure playground. Also, for the more active, the Seven Stanes mountain bike trails are two miles distant (bikes can be hired at Drumlanrig and tuition is available).

Hill walkers can make the most of the Southern Upland Way and golfers will be delighted by the choice on offer. Shops and a pub are located four miles away.

One double and one twin bedroom, bright lounge with open fire, large dining kitchen, bathroom,with shower over bath. All electric plus open fire. Fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, television, dvd / cd. Bed linen and towels are provided.
