Situated close to Galloway Forest Park and the charming town of Newton Stewart, this holiday accommodation forms part of a wing of the owners' nineteenth-century farmhouse. Nether Barr Farmhouse Cottage can sleep up to two people. There is one twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room. The property is all on one level and has an open plan living area with wonderful views, a dining space and a well-equipped kitchen. Outside there is a spacious garden with a patio, outdoor furniture and ample off road parking. This cottage provides excellent accommodation in a superbly tranquil setting. Amenities/Accommodation Overview Bed linen and towels are provided at the property. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge. There is also a colour TV with Freeview, a DVD player, library of books and games. Nether Barr Farmhouse benefits from having full LPG central heating and portable electric fires. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Children are not allowed. There is a shop and pub just one-mile away. Local Town Description The market town of Newton Stewart has a good selection of shops, pubs and cafes and sits between the rolling countryside of the Machars and Galloway Forest Park. The area is steeped in history as Scotland's first Christian church was established at nearby Whithorn in AD 397 and today has a visitors centre were excavated artefacts are on display. There are miles of stunning coastline to enjoy, which are home to sandy beaches, rocky inlets and an array of birdlife. The area is popular for walking, riding, trout and salmon fishing and sailing.

This cottage is situated in a brilliant part of Scotland where the locals are very friendly and there are lots of interesting places to see. The view from the cottage window is superb with lots of wildlife to see.
