Take pleasure in the luxury of staying in our wonderful converted railway carriage. We are situated at the old station, Bridge of Dee, Castle Douglas. Location and Local Activities.

We are 3 miles from the local market town of Castle Douglas famed as the local food town and also extremely popular for its variety of small independant local shops. There is also a extremely popular local brewery and visitor centre. For mountain biking fans we are with in fifteen minutes of the seven stanes trails at Dalbeattie which provide trails for the expert and novice depending on ability.

For the sailors the local yacht haven at Kippford is a must for both on the water and apres sailing relaxation in the local pubs. There are quite a few excellent local golf courses to which we can arrange access and the championship links at Southerness is just 25 miles away. There is brilliant local angling on the river Dee and at Loch Ken as well as sea fishing either from the shore or by boat from Kippford or Kirkcudbright.

Childrens Activities.

There are quite a few local attractions for the younger members of the family.

Cream of Galloway offers not just an Ice Cream experience but also many childrens activities in their play areas. The Chocolate Workshop at close by Twynholm is also a marvellous childrens experience. There are 2 adventure centres, 1 at Loch ken and the other at Lagganmore which offer a variety of activities for young and old alike.

The artists town of Kirkcudbright is seven miles away and well worth a visit.
