Cottage Description
Sitting in the village of Gatehouse of Fleet in southern Scotland is this stunning converted wing of a church. Surrounded by the breathtaking countryside of Dumfries and Galloway, this superbly renovated property can accommodate up to seven people. West Gable is has two double bedrooms, one of which has en-suite facilities and there is one twin room with an additional pull out bed. The property also includes a family bathroom, kitchen with a dining area and snug and a sitting room. Amenities/Accommodation Overview This property has full gas central heating. The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. West Gable also features a colour TV, DVD player and a library of books and games. All of the fuel and power is included in the price and guests are supplied with bed linen. A cot is available on request. Outside the property there is off road parking for two cars and a garden with a lawn, patio area with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. The garden leads directly to a river, so children must be supervised at all times. No pets or smoking is allowed. This property will allow one child under twelve-years old. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat by prior arrangement with the owner. This property sits within a short walk of shops, pubs and places to eat. Local Town Description The village of Gatehouse of Fleet lies on the Solway Firth at the heart of Dumfries and Galloway. There are beautiful sandy beaches nearby and the village has a good selection of shops, a chemist, bank and post office. There are four pubs in the village serving food, two cafes and a kilt-making factory. This is a great base for exploring this wonderful region, the Solway Firth and Galloway Forest Park.
