Peace Cottage offers tranquil living just north of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the tiny village of Snainton. It has two bedrooms and can sleep up to four people.

Located in the tiny countryside village of Snainton, this property is only 1 mile from Barnard Castle. It is a mid-terraced cottage and possesses a cosy ambience that makes it perfect for a romantic break.

The cottage has one double bedroom with en suite facilities and a twin bedroom. There is a family bathroom, dining area/kitchen and a living room that has an electric fire.

Barnard Castle has a wide choice of pubs, shops and restaurants and is well known for its castle ruins, walks along the river bank and narrow cobbled streets. Guests can enjoy this beautiful area with walks through Teesdale countryside and there are also the waterfalls such as High Force close by.

Full gas central heating is installed throughout this cottage with extra heating from an electric fire in the living room. There is an electric cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer in the kitchen. The living area has a TV with Freeview, DVD player and CD player. All fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. A cot and high chair are available on request.

There is plenty of off road parking to the front of the cottage. There is bike storage also available. The small garden at the front of the property has outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Unfortunately, no smoking is permitted. Two well behaved pets are allowed. The closest pub and shops are only 1 mile away.

Local Town Description

Stainton is a small countryside village that is based in the rural area of Teesdale in County Durham. The village has a few cottages but other than that is pretty isolated and peaceful.

The market town of Barnard Castle is only 1 mile away and possesses a range of quality shops, restaurants and pubs as well as cobbled side streets. There is also a series of majestic waterfalls close by including High Force with the Yorkshire Dales landscape near by.
