Fabulous....Wonderful...Fantastic....Brilliant...What a super super place this is!!!!! This Cottage has it all going on....parks,forests,woods, all on your doorstep....2 local pubs that allow dogs right on your doorstep that serve super food. The cottage has all the mod cons you need and fitted out superbly. Warm, Cozy and Toasty, the wood burner creates a lovely romantic ambience in the evening, add a few of your own candles and you have a 5 Star experience better than any Top Class Hotel. Rooms large, well kitted out and well furnished. Local Farm Shop that sells the most wonderful Duck Eggs! Own field outside your front door for late night Dog walk. Rabbits,Pheasants, squirrels, birds and Deer right on your doorstep....Love this place to bits....a truly stellar experience. Owners know by instinct how much attention to give you.....cannot say enough good things about this place..whether you are a couple who need to 'Get Away from it all' plus dog or a family of 4 plus dog...provides all for everyone. Loved it and thank you for a super time. Author: Miss D, Southampton, Hampshire - Date Submitted: 03/2011

This cottage was spotless. Considering dogs were allowed we didn't see a single hair! The owner left scones, jam and teabags etc for our arrival which was a nice touch. We didn't actually see the owners the whole time we were there which, for us, was good as we really don't like all the usual formalities - however, we were never worried as we knew they lived in the house the other side of the outbuildings. Great location and very secure for dogs if you bring them. Highly recommended. Author: Mrs H, Thetford, Norfolk - Date Submitted: 03/2011

Groom's cottage was perfect for our break in the South Downs. Very clean, comfortable, warm, well equipped, great shower - big enough to be comfortable for a 6'6'' man but versatile enough to shower a two year old too! The enclosed courtyard was peaceful and perfect for daughter and labrador alike, and having a private field to walk the dog in right outside the door was excellent for when a quick run around was all that was required. The closeness to Uckfield and Lewes meant we had all amenities we might need to hand. The countryside around was stunning and the sea only a half hour drive away. The owners got the balance just right by being to hand and helpful if we needed it. We think we have found a real gem, never feeling so at ease and comfortable so quickly in a holiday home. We look forward to booking in the summer when we can really make the most of the courtyard, stable doors and stunning countryside. Author: Miss C, Eastleigh, Hampshire - Date Submitted: 01/2011

Lovely comfortable cottage, with good quality furnishings plus the little extras of the fruit, flowers and dog facilities. We really enjoyed the welcome tea and scones on arrival aswell as the log burner for the evenings when the weather was chilly. Author: Mr L, Oakham, Leicestershire - Date Submitted: 08/2010

Very peaceful location with lovely walks via public walkways through fields to the gorgeous 'Laughing Fish' pub in Isfield. Cottage is close to both Uckfield and the county town of Lewes, both with good facilties. Very much appreciated the tea and scones, fresh fruit and juice in the fridge on arrival - nice touch! The cottage was in a peaceful location, very well-equipped, clean and comfortable and centrally located for exploring both East and West Sussex. There were freshly-baked scones and a bowl of fruit as welcome gifts for us and our small Jack Russell dog received a very warm welcome too with a king-sized dog bed, doggie treats and dog bowls. There was an enclosed patio next to the cottage and we could also exercise her in a field with resident rabbits very near the cottage, which was "Jack Russell Heaven"!
