Chalet Lodge Pet-Friendly Cottage

Cottage Description

Chalet Lodge Pet-Friendly Cottage

The property is of a pleasing brick built semi-detached cottage style, adjoining the owner's home. It is on a smallholding with horses in open countryside just over a mile from the village of Langtoft.

You will be very impressed to know that as part of the interesting history of the property, there is evidence to suggest that the well known highwayman, Dick Turpin once stayed the night. He will have been pleased with the accommodation which nowadays comprises two bedrooms, one of which is a double, and the other a three quarter. The ground floor bathroom has WC, basin, and a bath with shower over. The sitting room has an open fire and dining space while there is a fitted kitchen.

Enjoy the enclosed garden that has outdoor furniture. You will also be pleased to note that well known coastal resorts such as Bridlington and Scarborough are a relatively easy drive away.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

Inclusive of bed linen, power, fuel and open fire starter pack. Full oil fired heating, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, microwave, and electric cooker, DVD, TV with freesat, radio/CD. Two car off road parking, one well behaved dog allowed, regret no smoking. Grazing and stabling are available by request. Just over a mile to the pub, one and a half miles to a restaurant, and three miles to the farm shop.

Local Town Description

Langtoft is a pretty village found in the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds countryside, and only five miles from the market town of Driffield. The village is a pleasant mix of old and new, with the newer properties suggesting a continued popularity. Great local pub with good food and ales.

Having explored the lovely countryside just south of the North York Moors National Park, make a beeline for the coast where Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough wait to entertain you. Also, don't miss the chance to take in the beautiful minster city of York, slightly further away, but well worth the trip.

Try not to bump into Dick Turpin on the way!

Customer Rating/Reviews

A comfortable, roomy accommodation in a quiet and attractive rural location. The owner was helpful and the neighbours were friendly. The cottage was well located for the places we wanted to visit, including the coast. Author: Mr Roxburgh, Kirkcaldy, Fife - Date of Stay: 09/2011

Lovely home. Garden was great and the kitchen size was great too. Loved the place overall. Author: Miss Arora, Leicester, Leicestershire - Date of Stay: 09/2011

The location was good. We thought the patio doors leading onto the patio area in the garden was nice. The fact that the garden was secure was great as we had a dog with us. All in all we enjoyed our stay and consider we had excellent value. Would undoubtedly stay there again if we revisit the area. Author: Mrs Taylor, Kelso, Scottish Borders - Date of Stay: 06/2011

Spacious accommodation, locality excellent, good place to unwind but within easy reach of towns and countryside. Author: Mr Lambeth, Leek, Staffordshire - Date of Stay: 06/2011
