A six bedroomed former farmhouse, it is great for use as a base for family gatherings or reunions. Between Skipworth and North Duffield, and only twelve miles from York, it is a great base to explore a particularly beautiful and interesting part of the country. With en suite facilities and two sitting rooms, as well as pleasant gardens and ample off road parking, there is everything that a large grouping would require for a great holiday break. The River Derwent forms the eastern boundary of North Duffield, while Skipwith has the remains of an old Second World War airfield. York though is the jewel in the local crown and is just twelve miles away. Amenities/Accommodation Overview There are six bedrooms on offer, starting with a ground floor double having en suite shower cubicle. There is also a twin and a king sized double, one of which has en suite facilities comprising a shower, basin and WC. The family room has trio bunk beds, the bottom bunk being 4'6" wide and hence capable of sleeping two children. There is a bathroom with bath, separate shower, WC and basin. Ground floor cloaks with WC and basin. Bright spacious sitting room, and a second sitting room with seating for six people. Well presented kitchen with dining space and utility room. Dishwasher, washing machine, freezer, fridge, microwave, electric double oven with ceramic hob. Plenty of off road parking, barbecue and outdoor furniture for use in enclosed rear garden. Regret no pets and no smoking. Pub and shop about one and a half miles away. Local Town Description Close at hand are both Skipwith Common and also a 1000 acre nature reserve, both being of particular interest to the nature lovers in the party. Try and visit the two villages of Skipwith and North Duffield both having a village pond and a traditional country pub. Selby, a lovely market town just seven miles away has a wonderful abbey, although you wouldn't want to holiday here without fully exploring the beautiful Minster city of York with the Jorvik Museum, the National Railway Museum, and the Shambles, the well known shopping street. All important ages of Britain's history are represented at York, and you will need more than a day to see it all.

Customer Rating/Reviews
The house had plenty of space and the garden was excellent for young children. I enjoyed the holiday and the property. It was ideal for a family get together of 12 people ranging in age from 8 months to 70 years. The area, although not in a major tourist zone, still provided plenty to do.

Fantastic value for money. The property was within driving distance of activities and places to visit for all 13 members of our family, from age 3 to 83. The property is spacious and is much bigger than it looks in photographs. It is set in a beautiful and quiet location and the welcome packets of biscuits, refreshments and milk were much appreciated. Very helpful caretaker.
