Walmsley House Pet-Friendly Cottage

This property comes with four bedrooms and the potential to sleep up to fourteen people making it ideal for large groups of family and friends. It is based in the peaceful village of Bempton on the east coast near Bridlington.

Walmsley House is a former manor house and offers some fantastic period features but also enjoys the fact that it has had some tasteful decorating and furnishing carried out on its interior.

There are four large bedrooms with two of the bedrooms possessing en suite facilities. There is a spacious bathroom that can only be described as luxurious and a separate shower room. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. It comes with a breakfast bar and the dining area allows for plenty of room for family and friends to congregate to eat and enjoy some laughs.

The living area boasts an original fireplace made of oak and an open fire. There is a smaller living room that has a home cinema system and there is also a conservatory that leads out to the private garden. This property's location between the North Yorkshire Moors and the coast line means it is within close proximity to lots of local sights and places of interest that are suitable for the whole family.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

Heating for this property comes from full gas central heating throughout and an open fire in the living area. The kitchen has an electric oven, halogen hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and a washer/dryer. The living area has two TVs (one with a home cinema system), a DVD player, video player, radio/CD player, board games, Wii console, maps and toys for the children. Gas and electricity are included in the rent. Fuel for the open fire can be purchased locally. Bed linen, a travel cot and high chair are all supplied.

Roadside parking for the property is available just 20 yards down the road which is convenient for guests. One well behaved dog is welcome. The spacious lawn garden to the rear of the property comes with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Unfortunately, no smoking is allowed. The closest pub and shop are just a 1 minute walk away. A refundable good housekeeping bond of £163 is required by the owner.

Local Town Description

The village of Bempton is full of traditional cottages and can be found between Flamborough and Filey. It has a local pub and a shop. Bempton Cliffs Nature Reserve is also close by and is home to a population of sea birds including puffins.

Walkers will enjoy this region of England with the North Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Wolds providing some outstanding scenery. Burton Agnes Hall and Sewerby Hall also give fans of local history a chance to get to know more about the local area. The seaside resorts of Filey and Bridlington also give the family a grand day out on the coast.
