Cottage Description

The village, sited at the centre of the island has historic roots going back to the 16th century, while the causeway (passable for only four hours out of every twelve) has Roman origins. Don't worry, river taxis are available for when the tide is in. (extra charge)

Ivy Cottage comprises of an open plan sitting/dining room with wood burning stove, as well as a nicely appointed kitchen area. There is a double bedroom and two single bedrooms (1 with extra pull out single bed for 1). Bathroom/WC with roll top bath (shower over the bath)

The island is a marine sanctuary and there is an abundant variety of wildlife and rare birds. Osea offers exceptional cottages finished to the highest standards designed to make your stay a truly unique experience.

As well as the peace and tranquility, you can use the tennis court, gym, sauna, viewing room, games room and outdoor swimming pool. The owners will happily arrange other activities as well as a chef to prepare meals (full details on request).

The mainland offers trips to family orientated Southend, historic Colchester with its zoo, Maldon's quay, and Mersea Island's oysters. Constable country is a highlight too. Nearest shop and pub three miles.

The property has easy walking access, electric panel central heating included. Regret no pets.
