Cottage Description
Pine Cottage is positioned on Osea, an island of approximately 350 acres with the village located close to the centre. The village itself has a history traceable to the 16th century, and two of the properties have listed status. The coastline of the island stretches for approximately four miles, and because it is to be found on the Blackwater on the Thames Estuary, it is surprisingly convenient for central London. The causeway offers access limited to four hours in every twelve, but river taxis cover other periods. The remoteness means that it is a sanctuary for wildlife. Pine Cottage offers an Open plan sitting/dining room with open fire and well appointed kitchen area. Double bedroom with four poster bed and dressing room. Steep stairs lead to the first floor where there is a Double bedroom. Bathroom/WC with roll top bath (shower over the bath). As well as the facilities previously described, the owner can arrange further activities, plus the bonus of arranging for a chef to prepare meals (full details on request). You will be delighted at the high standard of the holiday accommodation on offer. Day trip opportunities abound, with family friendly Southend a popular destination. Colchester, Mersea Island and Maldon have also proved popular, and the proximity to London cannot be over emphasised. Pub and shop available on the mainland. The property has electric panel central heating included, Pets allowed - 2 dogs maximum. The property is unsuitable for the infirm.

Customer Rating/Reviews
Very peaceful when we were there but plans seem to be in place to make it busier; ie resaurant.
