Holly Cottage is situated just three miles from the university town of St. Andrews, deemed by many to be the home of golf. The property can be described as a modern single storey cottage style holiday property offering sleeping accommodation for four by way of two excellent bedrooms.

St. Andrews is the oldest of Scotland's university towns, and is located in the north eastern corner of the Kingdom of Fife. The sandy beaches were the setting for the film "Chariots of Fire".

The property is set in an elevated position overlooking its own gardens and lovely surrounding countryside. You will be delighted by the spacious nature of the accommodation, and the gas central heating allowing all year round occupation.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

The accommodation is to be found on the ground floor and offers a king sized double bedroom and a further twin bedded room. The bathroom has a bath, separate shower, basin and WC.

There is a spacious double aspect sitting room with sofa bed, TV, DVD, CD player/radio etc, small collection of games/books. Attractive dining area in the kitchen which has washing machine, freezer, fridge, microwave, and electric oven and hob. Full LPG central heating.

Inclusive of towels, bed linen, power and fuel. Two car off road parking, regret no smoking and no pets.

Outdoor furniture for use in large formal landscaped garden and patio area. Beach three miles, pub and shop one mile.

The garden is not gated. Please note that people with limited mobility may find the two step access a little difficult.

Local Town Description

As well as the famous sandy beaches, St. Andrews also enjoys beautiful gentle rolling hill, rocky bays and windswept cliffs. The town itself is not large and it is easy to explore it on foot being spread around a main hub.

There is a pleasant mix of buildings, some dating back as far as the thirteenth century, and others of a more modern appearance. Super shops, pubs and restaurants, and a pleasant university feel.

Come to St. Andrews and not play golf? Unthinkable! There is the Old Course itself and a choice of five alternative public courses. There is also an excellent Golf Museum.

If you can drag yourself away from this delightful area, there is touring to such wide ranging places as Edinburgh. Perth, Dundee and Fife.
