Formerly a net factory, allied to the herring industry, it has been beautifully updated by the architect owners to offer an outstanding and unique holiday home which has featured on television. The remarkable interior has a vast open plan living area, one wall being entirely glazed with triple patio doors opening onto a sun terrace overlooking the beach and enjoying magnificent uninterrupted views across the sea and east coastline. This room is extremely bright as the vaulted ceiling is mainly glazed as well as having beams, and there is simulated flagstone flooring - the restful lounge area is centred around an open fire with a piano for entertainment and the luxurious kitchen provides the ultimate in stylish design. The modern interior is further enhanced with sophisticated lighting - this contrasts beautifully with the vibrantly decorated bedrooms which have a cosy and traditional ambience. All the bathrooms have lovely free standing Victorian baths and fittings. Guests have shared use of the extended private gardens to the side of the house, these large walled gardens are beautifully landscaped and back onto the lane which runs along the top of the beach. The gardens are safely enclosed for children and there is garden furniture, barbecue, trampoline and swingball. The pretty and charming little village of Lower Largo boasts miles of beaches, a nice pub/ hotel serving meals and a shop with post office.. Located on the pretty East Neuk coastline, you are spoilt for choice with outdoor activities and there are plenty of opportunities here for sea fishing, sailing and watersports. Enjoy the coastal walks or play golf on a variety of brilliant courses. All accommodation is on ground level and comprises master double bedroom with en suite bathroom and separate shower cubicle leading to dressing room/single bedroom with extra guest bed, two double bedrooms with en suite bathroom and shower over bath, three twin bedrooms - 2 with en suite bathrooms and shower over bath (2 cots and extra child's bed available if required), open plan lounge/dining area/kitchen, utility room, cloakroom, extra separate wc, sun terrace with garden chairs. Cooking by gas and electricity, underfloor central heating.
