Cottage Description

Being only a short walk from the lovely sandy beach at Largo Bay, this traditional stone-built fisherman's cottage is well over 150 years of age and is situated on the main street in the same terrace as the Robinson Crusoe statue. The quaint little angling villages dotted along the east Neuk provide outstanding opportunities for angling, sailing and taking time out to soak up the regional crafts and museums of local interest that make the area what it is. The region is also popular for hill walking/climbing and for golfers. There are endless local courses to choose from if you fancy a round or two? of golf that is! The cottage is an ideal base for exploring and enjoying day trips with easy routes to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, St Andrews and Stirling. This terraced cottage is on three levels. The main rooms are well-spaced, light and luminous whilst the cottage is pleasantly furnished. To the rear there is a little elevated private garden for sitting out but not really appropriate as a children's play area. Secure storage is available for sports equipment, cycles and other such items. There are shops, hotels and pubs all within ? of a mile in the village.

The ground floor of the property is exceedingly cosy with a spacious lounge / dining room, modern, compact kitchen with a pantry and a bathroom with an over the bath shower. On the first floor is a fantastic master bedroom with king-size bed and en suite shower-room and one bedroom with adult size bunk beds. The upper floor is made up of a lovely sunny double bedroom with combed ceiling and en suite wc/whb. Cooking is powered by electricity and there is gas central heating. Guests also have use of the fridge/freezer, dishwasher, automatic washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, Freeview television, DVD player and a CD/Hi-Fi player. A cot and a high chair are available. Bed linen and towels can be hired by prior request.
