Cottage Description
Sitting close to a river in the village of Glyncorrwg is this well-appointed detached cottage, which can accommodate up to four people. The Lighthouse is a comfortable property, which has one double bedroom and a room with adult bunk beds. There is a ground floor bathroom, a well-equipped fitted kitchen with dining area and a sitting room, which has a gas fire and a sofa bed for extra sleeping. Amenities/Accommodation Overview The Lighthouse benefits from having full gas central heating with extra heat being provided by the gas fire in the sitting room. In the kitchen, there is an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The property also has a colour TV with basic Freeview, DVD player, CD player and a small library of books, games and DVD's. All fuel and power is included. Bed linen is provided. A travel cot and highchair can be made available. Outside, there is plenty of roadside parking and secure bike storage. There is also an enclosed patio with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. No smoking is allowed. There are shops and a pub within walking distance. A fenced river runs next to the patio so children must be supervised at all times. Local Town Description The traditional village of Glyncorrwg is a traditional Welsh village set in the Afan Forest Park and has a rich mining history. The village has a pub with a shop and the renowned Glyncorrwg Mountain Bike Centre. The area is popular for biking with the Whites Level and Skyline mountain bike trails nearby. Fly and coarse fishing is available in the area and the stunning Garw Valley Brecon Beacons are within easy reach.
