Cottage Description

This compact mid-terraced cottage sits in the village of Blaencwm in Mid Glamorgan and can sleep six people. Within a short walk of shops and a pub, the property enjoys wonderful views over a waterfall from the patio area.

Ty Bron's View is a well-equipped property that has two double bedrooms with additional sleeping being provided by a sofa bed in the sitting room. There are many original features including a wood burner.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

Ty Bron's View enjoys full gas central heating and additional heating from the wood burner in sitting room. The kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. The property also has two colour TV's with Freeview, DVD, stereo/CD player and a small library of DVDs, books and games. Fuel, power and starter pack of fuel for the wood burner is included. Bed linen is provided. A cot and highchair can be made available.

Outside there is plenty of roadside parking and a small courtyard to rear of the property cottage with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. No smoking is allowed. There are shops and a pub within walking distance of the property. The property has an operating chair lift on the stairs so may be suitable for an accompanied disabled person.

Local Town Description

The traditional Welsh mining village of Blaencwm is surrounded by stunning mountains and is full of character. The area is popular for outdoor activities, which include cycling, paragliding, walking and climbing. There are cliff-side nature reserves and guests can enjoy magnificent views from Craig y Llyn, which is the highest point in Glamorgan. Other local places of interest include the Welsh Rally, Pontypridd Heritage Park and Neath Canal.

Ty Bron's View is a real home away from home. We had a wonderful time surrounded by wonderful Welsh hillsides. The place was clean, well furnished and very welcoming. It's not too easy to find anywhere that will take dogs, but they were made more than welcome here. The cottage is well placed within easy reach of Cardiff, Swansea, The Brecons, Pendine Sands and many other places and attractions. We'll certainly be booking again soon!
