This divine first floor apartment is based in the canal village of Frampton-on-Severn in Gloucestershire. It has the potential to be a superb romantic retreat for any couple looking for some down time away from home.

Wards Court 1 is ideally positioned for guests that wish to explore the scenic countryside of Gloucestershire that is scattered with delightful landscapes and canals. It is more a style of accommodation for couples looking to get away and enjoy some quiet time.

The property has one double bedroom with en suite facilities. There is an open plan living area with a kitchen that has been fully fitted. There is also a dining area and living room.

This property has electric heaters throughout. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, fridge, freezer and a microwave. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer available upon request on the ground floor. The living area has a TV, DVD player, stereo and CD player. There is a selection of books, games and DVDs for guests to use as well. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are supplied. A cot and high chair are available upon request.

Roadside parking is available outside the property and opposite the village green. The shared garden comes with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Unfortunately, no smoking or pets are allowed. The closest pub and shop are just 1 minute away. The owner also runs Jacqueline's Restaurant next door to the property and can provide evening meals for guests with prior arrangement.

Local Town Description

The village of Frampton-on-Severn is referenced in the Domesday Book and has a grand variety of architecture including Cruck cottages to Georgian buildings to Tudor houses. There is a designated conservation area that surrounds the village green and the Severn Estuary is also a hub of thriving nature and wildlife.

Wildlife enthusiasts will love this area with the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal close by and there are also boat hire, coarse fishing and walking opportunities nearby. The Slimbridge Wetlands is only a short journey by car and the Cotswold Way is also a fantastic experience to see some of the true beauty of this region. The cities of Bath and Gloucester are also close by.

The location of the property was quiet and ideal for walking along the canal. Convenient to Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust. Also convenient for touring the Cotswolds or shopping in Gloucester and Cheltenham. The location was relaxing and the owner was most welcoming and helpful.
