Dating back over 500 years, this charming Grade II listed stone built cottage adjoins the owner's farmhouse and sits just outside the village of Llanbedr, within Snowdonia National Park. Enjoying a tranquil and isolated location overlooking the village, this property can accommodate up to three people. Cwm Yr Afon Cottage has one double bedroom with an additional single futon and en-suite bathroom facilities. The ground floor is open plan and has a modern fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar and a sitting room, which has an impressive stone fireplace with a wood burning stove and original bread oven. Amenities/Accommodation Overview This property has full oil central heating and a wood burning stove in the sitting room. In the kitchen, there is an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Cwm Yr Afon also boasts a colour TV, DVD player, CD player, radio and Wi-Fi access. All of the fuel, power and a starter pack of fuel for the wood burning stove are included in the rent. Additional fuel can be purchased from the owner. Guests are provided with bed linen and towels and a cot, highchair and stair gate can be made available. Outside there is off road parking for two vehicles and an enclosed front patio garden with outdoor furniture. Access to the cottage is via a ford and along a private lane. If the stream is too high, cars can be parked at the end of the lane and guests will be picked up by the owner. Due to its location, there is no mobile phone reception at the property, which does not have a telephone. In emergencies, the owner's telephone can be used. Guests can bring one well-behaved dog. This property has a no smoking policy. There are shops and a pub just over three miles away. Local Town Description The tranquil village of Llanbedr sits between the Snowdonia Mountains and the beautiful beaches of the North Wales coastline. Llanbedr has a good choice of local shops and a superb traditional pub. The nearby town of Harlech is just three miles away and is home to an impressive thirteenth century castle. Guests will be able to explore the breathtaking scenery of Snowdonia National Park and the stunning Cardigan Bay is within easy reach.
