Cottage Description
This impressive stone-built detached cottage is situated on a two-hundred-and-fifty acre working farm in the hamlet of Pencraig. The property can accommodate up to six people who can enjoy stunning views across towards the Black Mountains, the Forest of Dean and Symonds Yat. 1 Steppe House has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. A third room can be made into either a double or single bedroom depending on the guests' requirements. In the sitting room, there is an open fire and there is also a sun room and fitted kitchen. Amenities/Accommodation Overview This property benefits from having full oil fired central heating with extra heat provided from the open fire in the sitting room. In the kitchen, there is an electric range double oven and hob, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, washing machine and a dishwasher in the utility room. The property also has a colour TV, DVD, stereo/CD player, books, games and DVD's. All fuel and power is included. Bed linen and towels are provided. A cot, highchair and stair-gate can be made available. Outside, there is off road parking for three vehicles and bike storage is available in the garden shed. There is a large, enclosed garden with a lawn, patio area, outdoor furniture, BBQ and a trampoline for use at the guests own risk. Two well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a strict lead. No smoking is allowed. There is a shop and pub within a twenty-minute walk from the property. Local Town Description The hamlet of Pencraig sits in the stunning Herefordshire countryside. It is within walking distance of the village of Goodrich, which sits on the banks of the River Wye, has excellent amenities and is home to the impressive Goodrich Castle. The charming town of Ross-on-Wye is just four-miles away, overlooks the River Wye and is home to timbered Tudor houses. Symonds Yat, the Forest of Dean and the Black Mountains are all within easy reach and provide stunning scenery.
