The Croft Family Cottage

A perfect place for family gatherings or even those wanting to arrange a reunion. With nine bedrooms (many of which are en suite) and sleeping space for up to twenty four people, The Croft is a detached Herefordshire country house with six acres of grounds.

The beautifully presented and well proportioned accommodation offers nine bedrooms. In the main house you will find a double with WC, basin, hand held shower and bath, a double with en suite basin, WC and shower, a further double and a family room with a day bed for a child and a king sized double. This room also has an en suite shower, WC and basin. Next there is a twin with en suite shower, WC and basin and a further twin bedroom. There is also a further family room with three single beds.

In the annexe you will find a double bedroom with en suite WC, basin and shower, and a twin having en suite facilities comprising a WC, basin, bath with shower over. The main house has a family bathroom with basin, WC, bath and a shower cubicle and an extra ground floor cloaks/WC with basin.

The day time accommodation in the main house comprises three sitting rooms, one with wood burner and another with a double sofa bed, a kitchen with pantry, AGA and dining space, a utility room, a dining room seating twenty four people and a sun room.

The annexe provides a sitting room seating six and having a wood burner, double sofa bed and garden access, dining room with piano and a small kitchen.

There is a trampoline and swing in the large mature garden, and an orchard and games room. You can have use of an indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi, gym and sauna and a WC with shower area. Outdoor seating and barbecue (refundable £30.00 deposit payable locally), seven car off road parking.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

Inclusive of bed linen, towels, fuel, power and stove starter packs. There is oil central heating to the main house and gas heating to the annexe. The main house has dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave and electric hob and oven, AGA (in use September to April.) Two TVs, stereo/CD, DVD, games, books, and iPod dock.

The annexe offers freezer, fridge, microwave and electric hob and oven, DVD and TV with freeview. High chair and cot availability, regret no smoking and no pets. One mile to pub and shop. Please take care as there is an unfenced pond in the garden. There is bike storage.

Please note that access to the annexe is via its own front door being next to the main house. Outside catering available by prior arrangement with owner.

Local Town Description

Peterchurch is to be found in the beautiful and well regarded Golden Valley. Located on the River Dore, it is bounded by gently rolling hills to the east, and the brooding Black Mountains to the west. You are only ten minutes from the wonderful book town of Hay-on-Wye, now equally famous for its literary festival.

Walkers will already appreciate the close proximity of the Wye Valley and Offa's Dyke walks.
