Cottage Description
This well presented and traditional whitewashed cottage sits within the small community of Elgol on the mystical Isle of Skye. The property enjoys wonderful sea views and can accommodate up to seven people. An Seann Tigh has four bedrooms, which consist of two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom. There is a delightful fitted kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with an open fire. Amenities/Accommodation Overview This property benefits from having full gas central heating and an open coal fire in the living room. In the kitchen, there is an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge and washing machine. The property also boasts a colour TV with Freeview, DVD player, video, CD/radio and a small library of books, games, videos and DVDs. All the fuel and power is included in the rental price. Bed linen and towels are provided for guests. A cot and highchair can be made available on request. Outside, there is off road parking for three vehicles and a sloping garden with a lawn to the rear. There is an unfenced burn/river running alongside the property, so children must be supervised at all times. No pets are welcome at the property, which also has a no smoking policy. There is a superb restaurant next door to the cottage, shops one-mile away and the nearest pub is fifteen miles away. Local Town Description The rural crofting community of Elgol sits at the very tip of the Strathaird Peninsula on the stunning Isle of Skye. Surrounding by wonderful scenery, this tranquil area makes a wonderful base to explore the isle and its wildlife. It is a favourite with experienced hill walkers and climbers, who have a choice of mountain trails to explore. Guests can enjoy Loch Coruisk and fishing boat trips from Elgol's small quay. The nearby town of Broadford has amenities including pubs, restaurants, shops and a petrol station.
