Cottage Description

Boat of Garten is a peaceful village in the Cairngorm National Park, six miles from Aviemore and ten miles from Grantown. Craigview is in Deshar Road near the Post Office/General store with foreign newspapers and currency exchange. The Boat Hotel (100 yards) does bar and gourmet meals. Along Deshar Road in the other direction is a second store and Andersons Restaurant - also gourmet meals.

Beyond them is the short side road to the Village Hall and childrens soft play area.The Strathspey Steam railway provides trips to Aviemore and Broomhill. The close by Golf and Tennis Club welcomes guests. angling for salmon, trout and sea trout is available on the River Spey (permits from Post Office) There are many woodland walks while at Loch Garten is the renowned Osprey nest on the RSPB reserve.

The Funicular railway to the visitor centre and restaurant high on Cairngorm Mountain is open all year.Both Aviemore and Grantown have full shopping facilities as well as Tesco in Aviemore which is open seven to ten Mondays thro Saturdays and nine to eight on Sundays.The flat has three bedrooms, one double, one twin room and a room with single bed and two bunk beds for children.

There are 2 fully fitted bathrooms, each with bath and electric shower 1 being effectively en suite with the double bedroom. Suitable for five adults and two children. Off-peak heating is included.
