This charming semi-detached barn conversion dates back to the eighteenth century and sits in the small hamlet of Yafford on the stunning Isle of Wight. Pond Cottage is situated within the grounds of the owners and is set beside a delightful large pond. The property retains many original features including wooden floors, stonework, exposed beams and trusses. There is a sitting room and a well-equipped kitchen, which has a dining area. Set up in the eaves is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom with an additional folding bed. Amenities/Accommodation Overview Pond Cottage enjoys heating from freestanding electric convector heaters throughout. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. The property also has a colour TV, video and library of books and games. Electricity is included in the price between April and October. There is a small fuel supplement between November and March inclusive. Bed linen is provided. A cot & highchair can be made available on request. Outside there is off road parking for one vehicle, a small private, enclosed garden with a lawn and outdoor furniture. One well-behaved dog is welcome for a small charge. No smoking is allowed. There are shops and a pub just over one-mile away and a large pond close to the cottage. Local Town Description The small hamlet of Yafford sits at the southern end of the Isle of Wight and is home to a watermill that dates back to the eighteenth Century. It is a popular area for walking, bird watching and cycling along the 'Round the Island' route. There is a beautiful nearby beach at Atherfield and the town of Ventnor is close by. Other places of interest include the Blackgang Chine, Shanklin Chine and coastal resorts of Ryde and Sandown.

 The cottage was lovely and the garden was great for our dog and enjoying meals outside. I would happily book again. The owners were discreet but helpful when required. The peaceful location and beautiful beaches were exactly what we were looking for.

Beautifully decorated cottage with unusually large communal space. Proprietors very welcoming to people and dog without being intrusive. Location of cottage very rural with no through traffic, ideal for children and dogs. We are planning to stay at Pond Cottage again in the future and would highly recommend it to our friends.
