The Old Dairy is based in Herne, close to Herne Bay in Kent. It is a charming property that makes for a great romantic hideaway. It has one bedroom to sleep two people.

Based in the tranquil village of Herne, close to Herne Bay is this delightful cottage. It is a former dairy and is set on the ground floor. It is ideal for couples that want a break away together. The accommodation itself is light and spacious. It has a dining area and a welcoming well-fitted kitchen. It also has a shower room.

The Old Dairy is within close proximity to the local post office, three pubs and general store. Herne Bay is a fantastic resort to enjoy some down time with essential amenities and a number of seaside attractions and towns close by.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

This property has electric heating throughout. There is an electric oven, hob, fridge and shared use of the owner's washing machine supplied. The living area has a TV with Freeview, DVD player, radio and a CD player. A selection of books, games and DVDs are available for guests to use during their stay. All fuel, power, bed linen and towels are supplied.

Off road parking is available for one car. There is shared use of the owner's garden along with a decking area and outdoor furniture. Unfortunately, no smoking or pets are allowed. The closest shop and pub are just a 1 minute walk away. The beach is just a 30 minute stroll from the property. It should be noted that due to the 2012 Olympic Games, bookings made between 28th July and 11th August, 2012 will be charged at a higher rate.

Local Town Description

The tiny village of Herne is located in Kent and is convenient to the seaside resort of Herne Bay that possesses 2 miles of sea front and beach huts that give a real traditional British seaside holiday vibe to the area. Guests can enjoy some rowing, jet skiing and yachting at Herne Bay. It also has plenty of cafes, ice cream parlours, pubs and restaurants for guests to sample.

The area also plays host to a number of fantastic events and festivals throughout the summer. Whitstable is only 6 miles away and has a harbour, cafes, fish market, shops and Oyster fishing boats. The popular seaside resort of Margate is only 12 miles away and offers traditional forms of entertainments such as donkey rides that guests will love. The impressive city of Canterbury is also close by and the cathedral is as magnificent as its reputation states.
