Cottage Description
With all the accommodation located on the first floor, this property is a delightfully planned detached dormer bungalow ideally located just five minutes from the promenade in the lovely coastal resort of Arnside. The three bedrooms offer well proportioned accommodation for up to six people and you are afforded easy access to the spacious rear garden which extends fifty metres up the hill and provides the most marvellous views of the Lakeland Fells. Occupying a great position in the southernmost tip of the Lake District, Arnside has had a past history as a port, this being severely affected when the building of the viaduct caused the estuary to silt up. It has a lovely position overlooking the Kent Estuary. You are beautifully placed to explore the Lake District while those who prefer the coast will want to get the area around Morecambe Bay. Amenities/Accommodation Overview The accommodation is located on the first floor and offers three bedrooms being a double, a twin and a third bedroom with adult sized bunk beds. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and WC. Entrance Hall, sitting room having dining space, TV, satellite, DVD, radio/CD, collection of books/games. Well planned fitted kitchen offering dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, microwave and electric cooker. Full gas central heating, electric fire in sitting room. Inclusive of towels, bed linen, power and fuel. Outdoor furniture for use in large garden with patio, two car off road parking. One well behaved pet by prior arrangement, no smoking allowed. Five minutes walk to pubs and shops, railway station two minutes walk. Both front and rear doors are approached by a flight of stairs, and the rear garden has a slope. The property may therefore present difficulties for the less mobile. The property is not suitable for the under fives, please ensure that children are supervised at all times. Local Town Description Arnside is set in countryside typified by plains, limestone hills and woodland, offering a lovely and ever changing back drop. Arnside has retained features from the past and the pier and port area have fabulous estuary views. The Peel Towers date from the fifteenth century having been used to defend the area against the marauding Scots. Try and visit the Leighton Moss RSPB reserve offering super bird watching facilities. Grange over Sands offers further amenities, and you have the chance to explore the Lake District National Park, in many ways the most beautiful in England.

Customer Rating/Reviews
Lots of nice scenic views, tours and walks. It was the first time we had taken the dog on holiday. We were worried about how he would be away from home, but all his needs were well catered for. It was a lovely surprise to find milk and wine in the fridge and teabags in the cupboard when we got there. I have already told two interested parties about the property and for them to look for Sykes holidays on the web.

House was clean and tidy with no 'owner clutter'. Lots of relevant information. Dog friendly. Good location.
