The property lies about four miles from the popular town of Hebden Bridge, easily reached by car, train or a pleasant walk along the canal bank. Todmorden & Hebden Bridge are both served by the Trans Pennine railway, Leeds to Manchester & fine bus services. There are good, local hostelries in the area and Hebden Bridge has many interesting boutique style shops, cafes & restaurants.

Todmorden indoor market has traditional stalls run by long established local families. In the course of the year Todmorden boasts an brilliant one day Agricultural Show, Music Festival & Carnival Hebden Bridge a Vintage Car Rally, Arts Festival and is a Fairtrade town. Todmorden has in recent times become renowned as the home of Incredible Edible supported by HRH The Prince of Wales.
