Positioned on the northern edge of Peak District National Park, close to the border of Yorkshire and Lancashire, Standedge Foot Cottage is located at Standedge close to Delph. A pleasing local stone appearance fitting in well with its surroundings. Highlighting atmospheric features such as stone floors, wood burner and beams, the property comprises two bedrooms being a double and a single, both of which have en suite WC, basin and shower. The open plan living space has a fitted kitchen, sitting area with wood burner and dining space. There is a patio heater and outdoor furniture to further enjoy the front patio garden. There is two car off road parking. Amenities/Accommodation Overview Inclusive of towel, bed linen, fuel and power. Full gas heating, washer/dreyr, fridge, microwave, gas hob and electric oven. DVD, stereo/CD, LED HD TV with Sky and full surround sound, Playstation 3. Stair gate, high chair and cot availability by request, regret no smoking and no pets, one and a half miles to pub and shop. There are equestrian amenities available by request. Local Town Description This area has a fine history related to the textile industry, and in truth has not changed greatly from its nineteenth century heyday. You can enjoy excellent walking to get a bit more understanding of the historic past, including the Castleshaw Valley to the Roman Fort, one of many located on the famous York to Chester Roman Road. Uppermill is dominated by the impressive viaduct, and Saddleworth Museum has a fine reputation for putting the area into its true historical context. Enjoy some time at Brownhills Countryside Centre, while you will want to take in the numerous tea shops, pubs, restaurants, gift shops, art galleries and craft shops.

I liked the overall feel of the house. Even though we were close to busy Oldham and Manchester City centre, we felt a million miles away. There were plenty of nice walks to go on, and some of the pub food was great. The Navigation in Particular.
