Completely self contained, it has unique charm and character as well as a history dating back to 1875, - a holiday home with a difference, having a warm, homely atmosphere. Apart from five steps to the entrance, the accommodation is all on one floor, and has use of a sun trap of a walled garden that is shared with the owner. There is even a pear tree reputed to be 500 years old!

Having the advantage of free street parking, the property is conveniently situated a few minutes walk from the promenade and long golden beach and also close to superb local amenities. With a history that includes references to smuggling, and some industry, Portobello has lots to offer as well as indoor swimming pool with fitness centre, spa and sauna. There are children's playgrounds, indoor bowls, shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants.

For access to Edinburgh itself, there is an excellent day/night bus service into the centre which is three miles away.

The accommodation includes beautiful double bedroom, twin bedroom, cosy sitting room with gas stove, cottage style kitchen with dining area, smart family bathroom. Cooking by electricity, gas central heating and combi boiler for constant hot water, fridge, washing machine, microwave, three televisions, video, dvd player, wi-fi. Bed linen and towels provided.
