The setting could hardly be more idyllic for this holiday home on St Bernard's Row in Stockbridge. It can be found on a cobbled street right in the heart of the historic village and on the first floor it provides a central base for any city break. Stockbridge itself is immersed in history with notable sights including St Bernard's Well on the south bank of the Water of Leith. It was originally built in 1760 and is known for its medicinal virtues. Also close by are The Colonies, 11 parallel streets built between 1861 and 1911 that are considered to be almost like a village in their own right. The town has a modern flavour too with pubs and restaurants as well as brilliant shops and the Royal Botanical Gardens close by. It also only takes 15minutes to reach Prince's Street with regular day/night bus services available. Meanwhile, the flat is part of an unusual development with elevator access and private parking. The interior is well-proportioned and bright with French doors in the lounge that open on to a triangular balcony. It is well equipped too with bed linen and towels provided along with a fridge, microwave, auto washer/dryer, colour television, video player, DVD player and CD player. It also boasts one double bedroom and a lounge with dining table and compact kitchen corner; as well as a bathroom with shower over the bath.
