Cottage Description

This stunning barn conversion is located close to Abergavenny and can accommodate up to eight people.

Millbrook Barn sits in open countryside and was formerly the barn on the owners working sheep farm. The property is full of character and has a large entrance hall, spacious sitting room, well-equipped kitchen and a superb games room. There are two wooden spiral staircases, which provide access to one of the master bedrooms.

This property benefits from having full oil central heating from under-floor heating on the ground floor, radiators on the first floor and an electric fire in sitting room. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Within the property there are five colour TVs with Freeview, DVD, stereo/CD, DVDs, games and books. Fuel and power is included. Bed linen and towels are provided. A cot, highchair & stair-gates can be made available. Off-road parking for three cars is available.

Outside there is a patio with outdoor furniture, BBQ and a large grassed area with mini 'football pitch'. No pets are welcome. No smoking is allowed. Access to the property is via a single farm track. There are shops and a pub within three miles of the property.

Local Town Description

The tiny hamlet of Llanddewi Skirrid is overlooked by Skirrid Mountain and sits amongst stunning countryside. The Brecon Beacons National Park is nearby and is popular for walks and cycling. The market town of Abergavenny is just three miles away and sits on the banks of the River Usk. The town has a castle, museum, churches and an indoor market hall.

We have just returned from a fantastic family holiday in Millbrook Barn. The accommodation was perfect for everyone - grandchildren, children and grandparents. Even in mid October the weather was kind to us and so we were able to enjoy the outdoor facilities! Indoors, everything was perfect for us - lots of space and every kind of entertainment imaginable - TVs all with DVD players, pool table, board games jigsaws and books for every age and taste.
