Beehive Cottage Pet-Friendly Cottage

The lovely market town of High Bentham, positioned on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, is a great place to use as a touring base, which can also include day trips to the Lake District.

Beehive Cottage is a delightful seventeenth century semi-detached cottage set only a few miles from the well known three peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. The property offers one double bedroom, plus a further single bed positioned in an open sleeping space on the landing.

There is a shower room with WC, basin and shower. The kitchen has a dining area and the sitting room has an open stone staircase and a wood burner. Outdoor furniture and barbecue for use in the garden.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

Inclusive of bed linen, towels, fuel, power and wood burner starter pack. Full gas heating, washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave, gas hob and electric oven, plus tumble dryer located in the garage. DVD, radio/CD, TV with freeview, games and books. Extra wood burner fuel available by way of an honesty box.

Bike storage, one car off road parking, one well behaved dog allowed, regret no smoking. One minute walk to pub and shop.

Please note that this property is not suitable for children under ten years of age as well as the less mobile because of the steep stone staircase.

Local Town Description

With the Forest of Bowland, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, to the south, and the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the north and the east, you can see that you are staying in the most beautiful surroundings when you holiday at Beehive Cottage. This is great walking country, and day trippers and touring enthusiasts will love the number of possibilities available, including the Lake District which is just half an hours drive away.

Enjoy the facilities of High Bentham which include a weekly cattle market, great pubs with food and lovely local shops. The Great Stone of Foustones is a well known relic of the Ice Age, now providing a wonderful viewpoint. The River Wenning is a lovely local feature, and there is an eighteen hole golf course with views. Visit local towns such as Kendal, Skipton, Kirkby Lonsdale and Settle.
