Adjoining another property on the outskirts of the village of Acklington in Northumberland is this charming single storey cottage. Sitting close to the town of Warkworth, this property can accommodate up to four people. Dove Cottage has a double bedroom with a four-poster bed and one twin bedroom, which both have en-suite facilities. There is also a well-equipped fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a dining table. Amenities/Accommodation Overview This property enjoys oil-fired central heating. The kitchen has an electric oven, microwave, fridge and washing machine. Dove Cottage boasts a colour TV, DVD player, stereo/CD, radio, books and games. All the fuel and power is included in the rent. Guests are provided with bed linen and towels. Outside, there is off road parking for two vehicles and a front garden area with outdoor furniture. Guests may bring one well-behaved pet. This is a no smoking property. There is a shop just over two-miles away and a traditional country pub with a restaurant next door to the property. Trains pass along a nearby railway line approximately every half hour throughout the day. Local Town Description The small and tranquil village of Acklington is located just a few miles from the coast and the nearby village of Warkworth. The River Coquet passes by Acklington village, which can be viewed from Guyzance Bridge and there is a limited bus and train service to Alnwick, Newcastle and Alnmouth. Warkworth is dominated by the imposing ruins of a twelfth century castle and has a main street, which is lined with Georgian and early Victorian houses. There are galleries, antique shops, a village post office, pubs, restaurants and shops. The village of Warkworth has its own stretch of sandy beach and a small golf course. Local nearby places of interest include, Hadrian's Wall, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island and the Farne Islands.

The garden was lovely. Good food at the owners pub; quiz night was fun, very nice owners. Surrounded by lots of wildlife, lovely beaches.
