Cottage Description

Just eight miles to the west of Newcastle Upon Tyne, Hadrian Cottage is to be found in the village of Heddon on the Wall. The property is a beautiful semi-detached cottage affording exceptional views over open countryside.

The well proportioned accommodation is set over three floors and comprises a double bedroom with TV and shower cubicle, and two twins, both with TVs. The bathroom has a WC, basin, bath and shower over. You also have a ground floor shower room with basin, WC and shower. Dining room, kitchen, and a sitting room having a gas fire. Conservatory, second floor sitting room having computer and TV.

There is a small enclosed garden, barbecue, and patio having outdoor furniture. Two car off road parking.

Inclusive of fuel, power, towels and bed linen. Full gas heating, dishwasher, washing machine, freezer, fridge, microwave, gas hob and electric oven. Wi-fi, radio/CD, DVD, five TVs, telephone (free local/national calls), books and games. Regret no smoking and no pets, three minutes walk to pub and shop, two miles to a supermarket.

Because of the pond and stairs, infants up to two years old and children aged nine and over only allowed. There could be some traffic noise at busy times due to the position of the property.

Local Town Description

As the name suggests, Heddon is to be found on the line of the old Hadrian's Wall, with a part of the wall still to be seen on the outskirts of the village. The beautiful open countryside is a feature of the area, while close at hand is the village of Wylam, birthplace of George Stephenson.

Corbridge has a selection of small shops, and Hexham with its Abbey, town centre and Old Gaol is about fourteen miles distant. Within ten miles you will be able to reach Newcastle-upon-Tyne, one of England's most modern and vibrant cities, offering all amenities to suit the whole family.
