Ideal for an away-from-it-all break, this unique property adjoins a historic 16th century castle on a 1300 acre estate. The sympathetic renovation offers warm, comfy and unpretentious accommodation with many original features such as stone flag floors, stone windowsills and wooden shutters. All accommodation is on the ground floor.

On the edge of the Highlands, the moors, woods and wetlands of the estate are home to an wonderful diversity of wildlife as well as the largest beaver colony in Britain, wild boar, deer and birds. Guests are welcome to discover and this is a paradise for zoologists, botanists, ornithologists and photographers. Sheltered lawns, outdoor furniture, barbecue and parking are adjacent to the property.

Final access is by 1/2 mile of unsurfaced private road. Four miles along a country road, the little town of Alyth has three golf courses as well as fine shops and inns and Perth and Dundee are less than an hours drive. For walkers the famous Cateran Trail passes through the estate and peaceful roads lead into the magnificent scenery of the Perthshire and Angus glens.

There is fine fishing close by and the Glenshee Ski Area is less than an hour away. One double bedroom, one twin bedroom (cot available on request), living room with multi-fuel stove, farmhouse style kitchen, traditional bathroom with shower over roll top bath. Cooking by electricity,heating by woodchip boiler (run independently from the estate).

Fridge, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, television, DVD, CD, Broadband. Bed linen and towels provided.
