Set in the idyllic surroundings of the wooded hillsides east of the Trossacks National Park, Ruggles was part of a quadrangle of buildings housing the stables, garages and workers accommodation of the Dunira Estate that is all now in private ownership. guests first steps into the sitting/dining room always produce a wow moment. Created out of the estate meeting hall and with a wrought iron spiral stair rising to the master en-suite bedroom Ruggles provides style, character and comfort. Indeed comfort and quality have been the key to the modernistation of this property.There are 3 further bedrooms on the ground floor in addition to the upstairs master. There is a twin/double, a twin room with its own hand wash basin and a small room with bunk beds. Bed linen and towels are included in the price of the let. There is a bathroom downstairs with an electric over bath shower. The galley style kitchen has been recently totally re-designed and re-fitted. Ruggles has night store electric heating and a wood-burning stove. Electricity and logs are included in the price of the let.Acrosss the lane Ruggles has its own small sunny garden which is totally self contained and is as child and dog safe as possible. Guests are free to use the summer house and BBQ and take pleasure in the babble of the Boltachan Burn alongside.Ruggles, located about 1/2 mile off the main A85 road roughly midway between Comrie and St Fillans, provides an escape to tranquility into a sometimes forgotten part of Perthshire. Numerous walks abound and the observant visitor may see buzzards, red deer and red squirrels all without getting into a car. Comrie is about three miles away with brilliant local facilities and St Fillans (2 miles) sits on stunning Loch Earn which provides sailing, fishing and water sports. Both villages have brilliant nine hole golf courses. Whether it is touring, walking or only restful Ruggles will provide the perfect base for your holiday..
