Cottage Description

Wester Lix is located approx two miles to the west of Killin, set in the Glen of Dochart with in the Trossachs area of the Highlands. The area now forms part of Scotlands first National Park ensuring marvellous views are offered from both the front and the back of the cottage.The cottage is a contemporary build with 2 fine sized bedrooms, both with fitted double wardrobes.

The main bedroom has a king size bed and the twin room has bunk beds. The spacious lounge has a corner couch to unwind in front of the wood burning stove. It is well appointed with top of the range equipment as well as a 42 plasma screen, DVD, X-Box and hi-fi. A spectacular conservatory has been built on the back of the house which has two sofas and a dining table with six chairs.

This looks onto a decked garden area against the backdrop of Glen Ogle beyond. The large back garden slopes down to a private lochan which is fenced for safety. This is a marvellous room to sit and take pleasure in breakfast while watching the abundance of local wildlife which includes ducks on the pond, birds of prey, red squirrels and deer if you keep a close eye on the hills.

Killin is a ideal base to discover the neighboring countryside and Central Scotland with Loch Lomond, Ben Nevis, Oban, Glencoe and Pitlochry all close by.Short & weekend getaways can be booked subject to availability.
