Just four miles from both Kerry and Montgomery, Oak Barn is a splendid seventeenth century barn conversion that offers a comfortable mix of tradition and contemporary. There is flexible accommodation with a double bedroom and two single bedrooms, with the added facility of pull out beds taking the sleeping accommodation up to six. The bathroom offers restricted head room, basin, WC, three quarter length bath with shower over. There is also a ground floor WC and basin. The kitchen has a dining area and there is also a sitting room. There is a lovely courtyard position beside the farmhouse belonging to the owner on a two hundred acre livestock farm. There is a rear patio garden with grassed areas. Wantyns Dyke actually runs through the farm. Amenities/Accommodation Overview Inclusive of power, fuel, bed linen and towels. Full oil fired central heating, washing machine, fridge (no ice box), microwave, and electric cooker. Welcome pack, combi DVD/TV. Three car off road parking, storage for bikes, one dog allowed, regret no smoking, four miles to shop, one mile to pub. Local Town Description Well set in the area known as the Marches, the village of Sarn is to be found in the Vale of Kerry, close to the Shropshire border. This is an area of great history due to its border position, and cyclists and walkers will love the whole area, particularly the Kerry Ridgeway, a fifteen mile route through the hills, as well as exceptional distance views on clear days. Enjoy border castles and medieval towns, making sure to put places such as Machynlleth, Shrewsbury, Bshops Castle and Ludlow on your day tripping list. Castles such as Powys and Montgomery will live long in the memory. Distance travelling can offer National Parks at the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia, and Offa's Dyke and the many steam railways are top attractions.
