In a gorgeous, rural and serene position with only the delights of nature and wildlife to be heard, this timber lodge is one of eight properties that offers a quiet retreat for all the family. The lodge has a pleasant decked balcony, perfect for summer living with outdoor garden furniture and a barbecue to enjoy those balmy days and nights, plus steps that wind down to an enthralling well-structured garden with seating areas. Care is recommended with young children and the elderly. The interior is well-lit, contemporary, child-friendly and suitably furnished. All rooms are on one level with two entrance steps. There is a family-friendly village pub serving bar meals and a wide range of drinks just 500 yards down the road. The closest shops are just 7 miles away. Bonchester Bridge is a delightful pretty hamlet in the Rue Water Valley, halfway between the lively border towns of Hawick and Jedburgh, just 7 miles to each. The peaceful untouched countryside and quiet roads are ideal for walking and touring the many sites of interest around the Scottish borders. Golf and angling are popular activities locally with nineteen courses within an hour's drive.

The property consists of two minimalist yet cosy bedrooms. There is one double room and one twin room with an extra inflatable double bed, travel cot and high chair if necessary, open plan lounge / dining area / kitchen with French doors opening onto the deck and a shower-room. All power is supplied by electric. You will also have access to the microwave, fridge, Freeview television, DVD player, CD player and a vast selection of DVDs, toys and much more. Bed linen and towels are supplied.
