In the centre of a pretty and tranquil Rutland Water village this ideally picturesque spacious cottage and its lovely garden is 1 of a row set only 250 yards from the village pub which serves food.

The Wish Cottage property comprises of a Sitting room with open fire. Dining room with door to garden. Well appointed kitchen. On the first floor is a Double bedroom with six zip and link bed (twin beds by arrangementangement). Single bedroom. Bathroom/WC shower over the bath.

2 miles away the market town of Oakham provides good shopping galleries restaurants coffee shops and inns and historic Uppingham home to the renowned school is four miles. Close by places of interest include Rockingham Castle Stamford Burghley House and Geoff Hamiltons delightful garden at Barnsdale. Local footpaths lead to amazing views of Rutland Water with angling and sailing (2 miles).

The cottage was very well-equipped with little extras like wine and biscuits on arrival; cycles for our use and the provision of things like washing up liquid, soap etc. The owner was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Small, comfortable house in very pleasant village with good pub nearby. Property has a long and attractive garden (with table and seating). Easy parking outside house. Well equipped modern kitchen, separate dining room and cosy sitting room. Many small touches, like bikes in the shed, handwash gel by every sink, a bottle of wine on arrival.Handy for Rutland Water (walks, cycling, boating, birdwatching, beautiful scenery). Attractive and historic towns Oakham, Uppingham & Stamford within easy reach by car, as are other places of interest.
