Cottage Description

Enjoying a stunning lakeside location beside the historic home of the owner, is this delightful seventeenth century stone built barn conversion. Situated in the Shropshire village of Rosehill, close to Market Drayton, this property can accommodate up to five people.

Lakeside Cottage has two double bedrooms, one single bedroom and a well presented bathroom. There is a sitting room with a log effect electric stove and a large picture window with lake views. The property also has a well-equipped fitted kitchen with a small dining area.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

This property benefits from having storage heaters throughout with extra heating available from the log effect electric stove in the sitting room. The kitchen has a double electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Lakeside Cottage also boasts two colour TVs, of which one has Freesat, a DVD player and Wi-Fi availability. All of the fuel and power is included in the rent and guests are provided with bed linen and towels. A cot, highchair and a stair gate can be made available on request.

Outside there is off road parking for two vehicles and the opportunity for specimen carp fishing in the owner's six acre lake by prior arrangement, with rod hire available for a small charge. The lake is fenced off, but children should be supervised at all times when outside. No pets are allowed and this property operates a no smoking policy. There are shops and a pub just over one mile away and a Hotel with a restaurant within a five minute walk away.

Local Town Description

The small Shropshire village of Rosehill is just three miles from the town of Market Drayton and sits beside the River Tern and the Shropshire Union Canal. The charming town of Market Drayton hosts a vibrant weekly market and is home to many sixteenth and seventeenth century half-timbered buildings. There are nearby National Trust properties at Attingham, Hodnant Hall and Hawkstone Park. The medieval towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow are also within easy reach.
