Plasauduon Pet-Friendly Cottage

This end of terrace cottage lies on the border of England and Wales in Shropshire. It is surrounded by blissful scenery and has three bedrooms to sleep up to six people.

Plasauduon is a part Victorian and part Georgian stone and brick-built cottage that is located at the top of the fascinating town of Bishop's Castle. It is a charming end of terrace property that has stunning views out over the Shropshire Hills. There are exposed beams and a large Inglenook fireplace that give an insight into the property's heritage.

This property is set over five floors. There is one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms. All of the bedrooms possess views over the surrounding hills. There is a bathroom on the third floor and a shower room on the ground floor. The ground floor shower room has under floor heating. There is a dining area that has French doors that open out to the conservatory on the second floor. The ground floor also has a grand entrance hall.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

Full oil central heating is installed throughout this property with extra heating in the living room due to the presence of a wood burner. There is also under floor heating in the ground floor shower room. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. The living area has a TV and DVD player. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are supplied as well as a starter pack for the wood burner.

Roadside parking is available. There is an enclosed lawn garden with a small patio space, outdoor furniture, barbecue and stunning views over the Shropshire Hills. One well behaved dog is welcome. Unfortunately, no smoking is allowed. The closest shops, restaurants and pubs are just a 5 minute walk away. Due to steep steps this property might not be appropriate for guests with mobility difficulties.

Local Town Description

Located in the South West Shropshire Hill, Bishop's Castle is a market town that is surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has all of the essential amenities you would want from a thriving town as well as a weekly market and a selection of pubs, restaurants and shops. Bishop's Castle is also renowned for its frequent fairs, particularly the Michaelmas Fair, and the annual Real Ale Festival.

Birdwatchers, cyclists and walking enthusiasts will love this area where they can explore the Shropshire Way, Offa's Dyke and Welsh Marches with all their array of nature and beautiful scenery. The towns of Shrewsbury and Ludlow are also close by and for those that love their history the Severn Valley Railway and Powys Castle are both fantastic places to visit.
