Customer Rating/Reviews

A stunning property with lots of history! It has been in the present family for the last 800 years! There is a brilliant local pub just 10 minutes walk down the road. Author: Mrs Peacock, Leeds, West Yorkshire - Date of Stay: 08/2011

The owners were extremely welcoming and made us feel very much at home. The setting is spectacular and we will definitely be coming back. Author: Mr Baylis, Esher, Surrey - Date of Stay: 04/2011

The spectacular location and the historic house of which it formed a part. Excellent private area and parking. Quietness. Provision of some things, eg towels, tea towels, various small touches, above expectations. The Star Grade doesn't allow for the extreme charm and character of the place and the grandeur of the setting. We were met and shown round by the lady owner, who was charming. Author: Mr Hall, Hyde, Greater Manchester - Date of Stay: 10/2010

Local Area Description

A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as 1 of the least crowded and most tranquil regions in England.
