The Schoolhouse Brewhouse Family Cottage

The incongruously named Schoolhouse Brewhouse is a pleasant upper ground floor cottage apartment only five minutes walk from the historic market town of Bishop's Castle. It is next to the owner's property, in two and a half acres of grounds.

The accommodation is to be found on the upper ground floor, and comprises two bedrooms, the first being a double with en suite WC, basin and shower and access to balcony with furniture. The second bedroom is provided as a twin. Both of these bedrooms have iPod docking stations and flat screen TV/DVDs. There is a further shower room having WC, basin and shower. Feature open plan day time space offering fitted kitchen, dining space and a sitting area with wood burner. There is a shared washing machine in the utility room.

Two car off road parking, summerhouse with double sofa bed, garden furniture for use in lawned garden, all year tennis court, exclusive use of hot tub (8 am to 11 pm only). If booked in conjunction will an adjoining property, you will find that there is total sleeping accommodation for up to seven people

Electricity generated from state of the art photovoltaic cell system, heating from solar panels and oil-fired system for back-up, solar panels for the hot water plus full water re-cycling system. High chair and cot availability, regret no smoking and no pets, five minutes walk to amenities and shops, one minute walk to award winning restaurant/real ale pub. The property offers ramped access.

Local Town Description

The setting is one of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the popular and historic market town of Bishops Castle offers a weekly market and quality pubs, restaurants and shops. There are regular fairs, one of the most popular being the Michaelmas Fair, and the annual Real Ale Festival has a charm all of its own!

Shropshire prides itself on being a walker friendly county, and this is especially true with Offa's Dyke and the Shropshire Way being especially popular. Touring and day tripping are also well served, and the lovely countryside of the Welsh Marches and centres such as Ludlow and Shrewsbury will tempt you to get out and explore.

Powis Castle, the Severn Valley Railway and Stokesay Castle are a well known local attractions.
