Betsy Cottage Romantic Cottage

Cottage Description

Betsy Cottage Romantic Cottage

Positioned not far from the historic site of Glastonbury, this Grade II listed medieval hamstone cottage has one bedroom but has enough room up to sleep up to four people.

The origins of this property can be traced back to the 16th century and it is every bit worth its weight in heritage. It has been a kitchen, poor house and even a jail! It has a medieval feel to it and whilst maintaining its character it does not feel like an out of date property.

The bedroom has a double four poster bed and there is a sofa bed for additional guests. The bathroom has a free-standing copper bath and there is a Victorian range in the living room. The property has exposed beams and stone walls as well as flagstone floors that are a testament to its history.

Amenities/Accommodation Overview

This cottage has wall mounted electric convector heaters throughout the property with extra heating from a wood burning Victorian range in the living room. There is a table top electric oven, two ring electric hob, fridge and a microwave in the kitchen. The living area has a TV with Freeview, DVD player, iPod dock and a choice of games and books for guests to use. Fuel, power, bed linen, towels and a starter pack for the Victorian range are all supplied. The travel cot and high chair are available upon request.

There is unlimited roadside parking near to the property. The courtyard garden is shared and has outdoor furniture with a barbecue. Unfortunately, no smoking or pets are allowed. The closest shop is only a 5 minute walk away and the nearest pub is just a 10 minute walk away.
